If it isn't strong men in shonen manga, or a strong romance element in shojo, in yaoi we can get some interesting stories featuring animal gods who turn human in order to seduce some handsome, unsuspecting male.
Yuya Asabuki lives with his older brother, accidentally awakening a shrine in their backyard that houses three dog gods, or inugami's, and if that isn't bad enough, Yuya's punishment for his being locked in there is that he had his brothers will become their brides!
It turns out that the gods were locked in the shrine by an ancestor of Yuya's, and I bet it will be interesting finding out why. Yuya's dog god (interestingly named Akatsuki) insists that he make love to him, but Yuya tells him he won't marry a man. He does, however, let him make love to him in as kinky a way possible, so he can't have it all his own way.
This yaoi is one I enjoyed as it reminded me of a couple of other stories I had read a good few years ago.
