Blurb: No one knows how to sin quite like Zachary Black, Duke of Hawksmere. So when he finds a mysterious veiled woman hiding in his carriage, there's only one thing to do…carry her to his bedchamber and find out what she wants!

But coming face-to-face with beautiful Lady Georgianna Lancaster—his former fiancée—unnerves Zachary. Maybe the best way to restore his equilibrium is to hold her captive…and turn the secrets of the past into the sins of the present!

Review: The reason for Zachary's distant and cruel attitude toward Georgiana is due to her refusing his offer of marriage and running off to elope with a French spy. She had her own reason for breaking off the wedding - she had fallen for the handsome young Andre Rousseau. What irks Zachary is that she did not feel anything for the equally handsome, yet older man. He thinks she is young and foolish, but she says otherwise. During the months since the incident when Rousseau left her, she felt she had to tell Zachary all she knew about Napoleon who wishes to leave Elba to launch another attack, but she faces trouble as Rousseau was a spy, he might think she is one as well, so convincing him might be harder than she thinks.

Over the course of her being kept a prisoner in his bedchamber, the rakish Zachary discusses more about what she has been up to in the past ten months since her refusal of his marriage proposal and subsequent elopement. Though he knows she is hiding a great many secrets, he still  has feelings for her now that she is acting more grown-up. What he doesn't suspect is that while she was with Rousseau, he was treating her badly. It is interesting to see how after a while the Duke of Debauchery grows to like his captive and hurts her less with his deliberate harsh words. he would like to think she wasn't a spy, but after so many years of feeling cynicism toward people, he can't help how he feels.

Juicy bits:
* Lady Georgiana being in the carriage with the rakish duke
* What Lady Georgiana had to do in France when Rousseau left her
* Why Lady Georgiana wasn't buxom enough to work as a tavern wench - and Zachary's reply!
* Zachary telling her to wear a camisole with matching drawers for him one night...

After thoughts: From the moment I opened the book, I was surprised by the powerful and rakish man that is Zachary Black. After all his mocking and teasing of her, it is only fitting that she could melt his harshness toward her. This gets the thumbs up from me.
