Blurb:
Can Laura prevent the bank (and her love life) from crashing and burning?

Banking analyst Laura McGregor's electronic diary is full of things which definitely shouldn't be made public: musings on her lacklustre relationship with trader boyfriend Tom, disturbing irregularities in new boss Will's trading accounts, and the small matter of her attraction to gorgeous journalist Alex. So when the diary is accidentally uploaded on to the internet in blog form by clueless younger sister Mel, suddenly not only Laura, but her bank too, is facing meltdown and, even worse, Laura suspects Alex of using it as a scoop. Fighting to convince the world's media to believe her over Alex is one thing, but can Laura win the battle with her heart?

Call me picky, but when it says it's a diary, I kind of expect the book itself to be comprised of diary like entries. This one being the opposite is rather odd as it is just a story, unlike Tracy Quan's Diary of a Jet-setting Call Girl. The answer becomes clear when you read the back cover blurb. As it's an electronic diary that gets uploaded onto the internet "for all to see," she Spencer can't really turn the whole book into diary entries.

As a new writer for the Little Black Dress series of books, her other story being Tug of Love the Five interesting things about Allie Spencer serve to give us an idea of her sense of humour. A minor happening ten years ago in the setting for the story where Laura McGregor wakes up next to her friend who swears she has been "well and truly mugged by the beer gorilla last night."

Spencer's style of writing is upbeat, causing laugh out loud episodes of funny. For a banking analyst, she knows some great friends we would all like to know personally. This is "sex, scams and scandal" all wrapped up in a perfect bitchy bow.
