Blurb: From the # 1 New York Times bestselling author of Breaking Nova comes a gripping story about what it takes to save the one you love . . .
Nova Reed can't forget him-Quinton Carter, the boy with the honey-brown eyes who made her realize she deserved more than an empty life. His pain was so similar to her own. But Nova has been coming to terms with her past and healing, while Quinton is out there somewhere, sinking deeper. She's determined to find him and help him . . . before it's too late.

Nova has haunted his dreams for nearly a year-but Quinton never thought a sweet, kind person like her would care enough about a person like him. To Quinton, a dark, dangerous life is exactly what he deserves. And Nova has no place in it. But Nova has followed him to Las Vegas, and now he must do whatever it takes to keep her away, to maintain his self-imposed punishment for the unforgivable things he's done. But there's one flaw in his plan: Nova isn't going anywhere . . .

Review: The second in the Breaking Nova series, Nova Reed has an unforgettable man she can't get out of her mind - Quinton Carter. He is the man who gave her more than enough to live for. For Quinton, Nova has been the one woman who has given his life meaning as he tries to forget who he is, drowning his senses in a haze of cocaine. There are drawbacks to his new regime, though and finding girls in his bed was one of them, especially when they were as persistent as Nova.

Saving Quinton starts with him waking one morning aware that he wanted to change his life, to be someone else. As the chapters each start with a name; Quinton, Nova, it is Quinton's pain and anguish we get to hear about first. How he has to forget the past rather than get over what he did and try to make a fresh start on his life. To do this, he blocks the past out with drugs that could damage him in the long term. Nova, however loves him and plans to stay with him whatever problems arise. Quinton can't let that happen and only serves to push her away, but Nova he finds is much stronger than that.

Nova has that need to search for Quinton, hoping he is still alive, she wants to make things better for him as they have shared so much together. They both have dark pasts they would rather not recount, though that is a large part of what makes them an ideal match. They have both had problems with drugs, though it is something Quinton is finding  hard to get over and they both bear the scars of lost loved ones. The basic need that Nova has in her heart that runs through this entire novel is that she wants to save Quinton from death as she couldn't with Landon, her former boyfriend.

As Quinton drifts around the chapters aimless, Nova has to steer him in the right direction and show him there is someone out there who loves him and also needs him around. Her only aim is to make sense of their lives. They both h ave their problems, but Quinton is on the very edge of self-destruction, and Nova can see it, yet she doesn't judge him for it. Jessica Sorensen's Saving Quinton acts as the second in a series of novels for what would be doomed youth and proves that there is someone always out there looking out for their best interests. This novel is perfect for readers of her other novels in the Ella & Micha series, Callie & Kayden and Breaking Nova series.

After thoughts:The story tugs at the heartstrings with its depiction of love in realistic times. This has enough pain and angst to urge the reader even further into the more dangerous parts of the story later on...a thrilling read.
