Many will remember him more for his hilarious stand-up comedy routines with Fanny the Wonderdog. This is his first novel told in the first person, it is witty, funny and deliberately over the top most of the way through.

Johnny Debonair does more than tell his story, he thrills the reader with his experiences. He is a larger than life character with a larger than life ego. It is easy to feel as though you know him from the beginning, hooking you into Johnny's world of erotic male prostitution. Johnny starts out life moving to London where he attends a theatre college, and quickly finds he does not fit in with the rest of the students there. Living in a flat he meets another like-minded soul, Catherine, a nurse with tonnes of charm but lacking in money - he discovers later she has an after hours vocation, one that makes more money and it's at a high class escort agency ran by an over enthusiastic Japanese madam.

When they both realize their real vocations are not what they expected, they decide to become full-time escorts, but at first Johnny isn't getting the clients. After getting his ads printed in the gay magazines, he meets all kinds of people when on call; likeable types, weirdos, a punishment bdsm type and a couple of older men who take a liking to Johnny more than the others. This is when the story takes a turn that can leave him with a decision that could change his life.

Most of the novel is about Johnny's early life, what he had to go through with his many clients before he became famous as one of TV's top performers.
