The cool and assured Rei, president of the student council is such a nice guy he gives everyone a reason to like him as he does so well with his grades and can be relied upon to do such a great job even for his friends, and has one of the best attendance record in school.

Once the new kid, Shindo arrives at the school, he begins to form an affection for Rei that changes to one of pure love once he finds more about the transfer student who has just as good grades as him, they do have opposite personalities though, Rei is the silent shy type who doesn’t like to talk much in groups, while Shindo is the one who likes to chat and is as outgoing and social as it gets. The question is will this mix be the one that assures them the perfect love, or will there be big problems along they way?

The first picture the reader comes to in this novel is a naughty but nice one – yaoi fans always love shirtless men and the one in this piece is no different! Ariko knows how to create atmosphere and drama in her characters, and personality with emotion in their faces, happy or sad, she knows how to bring the emotions out and show how she can use them in her stories. Her artwork will remind readers of other manga artist’s work, but the story is a sweet one of love at first sight and what the characters can do to make their special love work despite the odds stacked against them.

Ariko’s art is striking and has the usual angular style many Japanese artists have adopted over the years where the eyes are squared off at the sides and at the edges form an upward tick – it is a look that makes the characters seems alert and engaging in a more comical way most of the time. As a manga, this would rank high for yaoi enthusiasts who enjoy reading the fun story line of this particular title.

Verdict: Erotic and full of thrills – this is an emotional manga that many will adore for a long while yet.
